Developmental Physiotherapy

Developmental services are carried out in our East Fremantle clinic or in the home or daycare.

We treat conditions such as:

Land-Based Physiotherapy

Family-centred goal setting, assessment and

evidence-based therapy at our clinic in East Fremantle, in the home, daycare, school,

or community settings

We utilise various therapy methods such as neurodevelopmental therapy, strength training, functional training and DMI to suit your child's goals and to attain gross motor skill development

​

Therapy Pre and Post Orthopaedic and Rehab treatment methods (eg VDROs, SEMLS, muscle recessions, muscle releases, tendon transfers, arthrodesis, Botulinum Toxin aka Botox)

​

Education and training to families, educators and support workers including the development

and provision of transfer and positioning care

plans - to keep your child safe and comfortable throughout their day

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic based physical therapy in a heated pool to enable and provide:

​

Fun, play-based therapy for children with low muscle tone,

spasticity and dystonia

​

Muscle relaxation 

​

Stress and pain relief, helping your child move freely

​

Improved blood flow and circulation, tissue and muscle healing

​

Cardiovascular fitness, strength and endurance 

​

Buoyancy to reduce the stresses and impacts of gravity,

and to improve range of movement​

​

Controlled and graded weightbearing for standing and mobility

Dynamic Movement Intervention

Certified DMI Introductory Level C practitioner

​

DMI is a therapeutic technique used in physical therapy to treat children with motor delay by improving automatic postural responses and promoting progress towards developmental milestones.

How your child can access

Free To Move Physio

Your doctor or health professional may provide you with a referral, though this is not required. 

Contact Daisy with your child's needs by phone or email and we can decide on the best plan for you and your child.


Fees

Sessions, travel and reporting are charged based on time rather than type of session.
 

Physiotherapy consult $100 per 30 mins, $200 per hour

Equipment prescription $200 per hour

Written reports $200 per hour

Aquatic Therapy (community public pools) $100 per 30 minute session, $150 per 45 minute session

Hydrotherapy (East Fremantle, private pool) $110 per 30 mins, $165 per 45 mins, $220 per hour
 

Cancellation
24 hours notice is required for a cancellation.

 

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Free To Move Physio will gladly see NDIS clients that are self-managed or plan managed. We do not provide services to Agency Funds Managed clients. Please let us know if you have an NDIS plan.

All charges have been determined by the National Disability Insurance Scheme and are subject to change.
